At Beyond Motherhood Retreats, we are passionate about empowering mothers to reclaim a connection with the deep wisdom and strength that is inherent in all women. Women create life, and yet through the birthing and parenting process we often lose our sense of self.
At Beyond Motherhood we have carefully curated a transformative space that allows mothers to, not only rest and relax, but to embody confidence and courage as they re-enter their normal lives. This retreat offers a nurturing space in which we will help you rise above challenges and stigmas of motherhood, process your own story, and connect with other moms who totally get it. You will leave with new tools to take with you as you continue your journey and a sense of empowerment to make choices in your life that bring joy and peace. Here you will find encouragement to rewrite your personal story with clarity and purpose.

The gardens at the venue are enchanting and you are encouraged to visit at your leisure to, quite literally, stop and smell the roses.
From art therapy and creative writing, to various movement modalities and rituals, we will offer fine-tuned, lovingly curated session options meant for intentional deep healing. It is important to note that absolutely NO artistic experience is required or expected in order to participate in the creative aspects of the retreat. We will be focusing on the process, not the product, and you will not be expected to share anything you create throughout the weekend unless you intentionally choose to.
The venue is set in the rural Washington countryside and boasts gorgeous trails all around the property. You are welcome to spend as much time as you like exploring the beautiful natural landscape.
We encourage each guest to find space to be alone in the quiet serenity that our chosen venue provides. Journaling is encouraged, as well as napping or just sitting and experiencing nature. Our retreat is intended to allow you as much time as you need to truly rest so that you may leave feeling rejuvenated and renewed.
Kendra is a licensed mental health therapist (LMHC) certified in perinatal mental health (PMH-C). She is a former ballet dancer and holds a post graduate certificate in the healing benefits of expressive and creative arts. Kendra is a mother of two and passionately believes in supporting women through all aspects of motherhood.
At the retreat she will guide you through creative arts experiences curated to help you process feelings, connect to your true self, and learn tools to support you in your real life.
Hope is a professional artist and photographer, and is a seasoned art therapy facilitator. In college, she studied Cultural Anthropology with a particular interest in Ethnomusicology, and currently resides on a small island in the Pacific Northwest with her partner and their 4 year old son. Hope's interest in helping women stems from becoming a mother and decades of therapy.
At the retreat she will lead connective sessions based on art therapy techniques, the goal of which will be to rediscover parts of yourself that,
as a mother, may have been lost in the craziness of creating and living life.
Our journey to retreat-building began on a forest walk where we confided in each other about the many difficulties and joys of motherhood. We realized that there was a real need for mothers to be heard - actually listened to - seen, held, and healed in order to be the best parents they can be. We believe mothers' ability to care for their physical, mental, and emotional selves directly impacts the world around them, big and small.
We both have felt a calling to lead retreats for a long time, so we're teaming up! Today, we have many plans to create spaces for women to grow and heal, and we're starting right here.
Please reach out with any questions you have and we will get back to you within 24 hours.
